Suche nach Licht lautet der Titel der Ausstellung von Igor Cvaco, die vom 02. Mai 2017 bis zum 29. Juni 2017 im Quo vadis? zu sehen ist.

Geboren 1961, ist ein slowakischer Maler, Designer und Songwriter. Er studierte an der Technischen Universität Bratislava und der University of fine Arts in Bratislava. Seine Grafiken und Gemälde wurden in vielen Ländern in über 40 Ausstellungen gezeigt, darüber hinaus illustrierte er Bücher, gestaltete Kunstkalender und arbeitete mit vielen tschechischen und slowakischen Künstlern und Schriftstellern zusammen.  Cvacho ist Mitglied der Association of Slovak Arts und chairman of the Cont Art- fine arts association. 

Nebenbei komponiert der Künstler seine eigenen in der folk music beheimateten musikalischen Werke, er brachte bereits 3 CDs heraus. Für seine Werke gewann er zahlreiche Preise, unter anderem den Annual prize of the Ministry of Culture Slovak republic, The Most Beautiful Book of Slovakia 2005 und 2009, den Master Nomination Prize sowie den International Competition of Ex Libris, Shanghai, 2009.

 

Ausstellungen

 

Cvacho war bisher in über 40 Ausstellungen zu sehen, unter anderem in Bratislava, Warsaw, Brussels, Larnaca, Helsinki, Shanghai, Ottawa. Er ist regelmäßig Repräsentant slowakischer visual art bei internationalen Ausstellungen und Symposien.

 

 

 

 

Igor Cvacho graduated at the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava (1980 - 86) and he finished a two-years course in graphic arts at the University of Fine Arts in Bratislava (1987 -88). In 1989 he has devoted himself to a freelance as a visual artist and he is on this position up to date.

His artistic creation is characterized by professional activities in a multitude of disciplines.

Igor Cvacho's graphics and paintings were presented in exhibitions in many countries, but some of his works were placed in architecture, he illustrated books for children and adults, he created ex libris and graphical trademarks. At the same time he has paid attention to graphic design and advertisements.

Individual part of his creation is publishing author's publications like bibliophiles or artistic calendar in a limited series.During the realization of these last mentioned projects he cooperated with lot of prominent Czech and Slovak writers and artists.

 

He took a part in more than forty of exhibitions in Slovakia and abroad (i.e. Bratislava, Warsaw, Brussels, Larnaca, Helsinki, Shanghai, Ottawa) and he is regularly representing Slovak visual art on the international exhibition and symposiums in many countries (Belgium, Italy, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Turkey, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, China, Lithuania...)

 

He is a member of the Association of Slovak Arts and the chairman of the Cont Art- fine arts association.

His works of art can be found in several galleries and private collections in many countries and pieces were published in catalogues and exhibition reviews. He was invited several times to China and he gave lessons at the Shanghai university.

Igor Cvacho is a very energetic person. Besides his graphics and painting, he has composed his own songs  he is also performing his folk music. Three CD´s with his songs were issued and the book with his song lyrics too.

 

He has carried a several prizes for his creation (e.a. Annual prize of the Ministry of Culture Slovak republic The Most Beautiful Bookof Slovakia 2005 and 2009,  Master Nomination Prize, International Competition of Ex Libris, Shanghai, 2009...)
